"Why Hire a BICSI-Certified ITS Professional?"
Certification Top 10 Lists Revisited
November 2006 - Ed Tittel
Give a run to your fellow competitors with Building Industry
Consulting Service International (BICSI) certification training. This
program has been designed to provide entry level telecommunications
cable installers with the background, knowledge, and basic skills
needed to function effectively on the job. The BICSI certification
training program will definitely give a head start to your career.
BICSI Installer Level 1 certification is a testing program that
certifies the competency of network cable technicians in the network
industry.
This is a three level career advancement program developed to meet the
diverse needs of the industry. BICSI certification training begins
with the Installer Level 1, followed by the Installer Level 2, and
ends with a Technician level. Each of these levels offers classroom
instruction with a structured on-the-job training checklist. The
training program includes a written and hands-on registration
examination. BICSI certification training is recognized by the
International Certification Accreditation Council (ICAC).
BICSI certification training offers individual benefits, such as proof
of professional achievement, increased job prospects, a viable career
path and foundational knowledge for additional certifications. The
following corporate benefits are offered: improving customer
satisfaction; repeat business, competitive edge over competitors,
measurable competence standards and reduced risk of warranty issues
with manufacturer products. BICSI is an international
telecommunications association that was founded in 1974 as a
not-for-profit professional association to meet the needs of Telephone
Company building industry consultants (BICs). Building industry
consultants (BICs) design and distribute telecommunications wiring for
commercial and multi-family buildings.
An Installer Level 1 provides entry-level telecommunications cabling
installers the basic knowledge of cable installation. This level aims
at teaching the tasks that an apprentice performs with fundamental
components being professionalism, safety and transmission. The level 2
step in this training program helps installers stay on top of the
latest installation practices and standards. The main focus of level 2
is to teach the tasks that an installer would perform. This includes
job setup skills, pulling copper and fiber cable and copper cable
termination functions. The technical level of the BICSI certification
training program offers advanced cabling tasks that a technician
performs. Contact us to know more about BICSI certification training
and we ensure you get the best price on this sought-after training
program.
